James Borrelli is a graduate of Boston College and the Hypnosis Motivation Institute where he received his diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy with Honors.
In 1973, Dr. John Kappas, Founder of the Hypnosis Motivation Institute, was asked by the U.S. Department of Labor to write the definition of the profession of Hypnotherapist to be used in the Federal Dictionary of Occupational Titles:
"Induces hypnotic state in client to increase motivation or alter behavior patterns: Consults with client to determine nature of problem. Prepares client to enter hypnotic state by explaining how hypnosis works and what client will experience. Tests subject to determine degree of physical and emotional suggestibility. Induces hypnotic state in client,using individualized methods and techniques of hypnosis
based on interpretation of test results and analysis of client's problem."
All graduates of the Hypnosis Motivation Institute are schooled in the techniques taught by Dr. Kappas in accordance with the above guidelines. The Hypnosis Motivation Institute is the first nationally accredited college of hypnotherapy with a comprehensive academic curriculum of 720 hours of training including clinical internship. A diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy is awarded upon completion of the program followed by certification by the Board of The Hypnotherapists Union to achieve the title of Certified Hypnotherapist.
Mr. Borrelli is a professional member in good standing of The American Hypnosis Association, The American Counseling Association, The International Medical & Dental Hypnotherapists Association and The Hypnotherapists Union Local 472.
Mr. Borrelli is also a Nei Kung master instructor, one of only two individuals in the world certified by internationally renowned Tai Chi Chuan Grand Master C.K.Chu to teach his unique system of internal chi kung.
For the last twenty years Mr. Borrelli has dedicated his private practice to assisting students and clients in realizing their optimum goals in body, mind, spirit and career.
